Hi! My name is Ms. Sara, and I am so excited to be teaching Pre-K at Nottingham Elementary again this year! I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and just moved into Arlington this summer. I started teaching at Nottingham in 2019 after I graduated from James Madison University with my Master’s degree in early childhood and special education. When we aren’t playing, laughing, and learning in the classroom, you can find me rooting for the Washington Nationals, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. I can’t wait for a great school year!

Hello Nottingham Families! I am Alisha Alford and am thrilled to be teaching preschoolers. I previously taught at a private preschool in Falls Church and just earned a Master’s Degree in Education and Human Development from George Washington (GW) University. This is my second degree from GW; I started my career as a lawyer practicing special education law in the District of Columbia. When I’m not in school, I run, lift weights, cook, and spend time outdoors with friends and family. I’ve lived in Arlington, with my husband and two sons, for fifteen years.
