As you know, APS is working on the first phase of the Elementary School Planning Initiative…
We have had a busy week of learning and an unexpected spring snowstorm! Next week is Spring Break. Nottingham will be closed.
Does your child struggle with reading or writing? Do you want help for your child, but do not know what questions to ask? Maybe your child is receiving an intervention that does not seem to be effective? Or is your child receiving effective reading instruction/intervention that other children should have access to?
We look forward to seeing many of you at our APS Spring Conferences, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. Online sign-up for conferences will opened last Friday evening.
I hope you enjoyed the additional family time last week; our instructional staff were busy preparing report cards and preparing lesson and unit plans for the 3rd quarter. Hard to believe it’s here already! Report cards will be sent home on Tuesday, February 13th.
Kudos and thanks to Nottingham Social Studies Lead Teacher, Ms. Jacoby, who enthusiastically planned and facilitated Nottingham’s 2018 Geo Bee held earlier last week!
Attendance Update: NEW PROCEDURE – If your child is going to be tardy or absent please call the attendance line at 703-228-5292 and email firstname.lastname@example.org as well as your child’s teacher.

Season’s Greetings from our “home” to yours! The purposeful planning of our teachers and the hard work of our Knights is still on display as we work collaboratively to finish academic units of study, culminate Project Based Learning units and finish assessments before the winter holidays begin.
