Principal’s Notes from Nottingham – October 20, 2016

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Earthquake Drill Completed
At 10:00 a.m., over 500 students, staff, and visitors “ducked, covered, and held on” during a brief earthquake drill at Nottingham.  Students were asked to go underneath desks or tables and grab the legs to protect themselves in the event of an earthquake.  All APS schools are expected to conduct an earthquake drill during the month of October as we continue practicing our emergency preparedness drills to make schools a safe place regardless of the situation.  Our drill time was close to the time that others who were registered for The Great Southeast Shakeout conducted their earthquake drill.

For more information about how you can best be prepared in the event of an earthquake, please go to the following link: http://www.shakeout.org/southeast/index.html

Sincerely,

John Koutsouftikis
Assistant Principal
