Love in the Mist

The Love in a Mist is also known as a Nigella.  The Love in a Mist has seed pockets after it blooms. It is an annual flower. The Love in a Mist is part of the buttercup family. It is native to Southern Europe, North Africa, and Southwest Asia and is commonly grown in gardens in North America. The Nigella blooms in May and June.

The fruit is a large capsule composed of several united follicles each containing numerous seeds. Year after year the Love in a Mist grows back where the seeds spill out.
