Elisabeth Harrington

Assistant Principal

[email protected]

Ms. Elisabeth Harrington just returned from serving in the Peace Corps in Paraguay, the heart of South America. She joins Nottingham as the assistant principal. Before serving in the Peace Corps, Elisabeth was the Supervisor of World Languages for Arlington Public Schools (APS). She is a Cognitive Coach trainer for APS, and her Clifton Strengths are Input, Positivity, Intellection, Ideation, and Learner. She moved to the East Coast after having lived in Oregon for 23 years, where she served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction, a Director of Student Achievement, and as a school-based administrator at elementary, middle and high schools. Elisabeth grew up biculturally in France and the US. She is the proud mother of two grown daughters, Emily and Sophie. Elisabeth received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and political science from Presbyterian College; spent a semester abroad in Seville, Spain; and received her master’s in education from Portland State University. In her spare time, Elisabeth can be found trail running, doing hot Pilates, and whitewater kayaking. A fun fact about Elisabeth: she does not own a TV, and she loves to read.
