Japanese Maple Tree

This deciduous tree is called the Japanese maple. It is one of the thousands of different kinds. This one in particular turns many colors in the fall. It will grow up to 12 feet and gets steadily wider.  The Japanese maple is not native to America. Its leaves have seven points and its seeds are in little helicopter-shaped pouches.-Libby S.
