The Neon Dianthus is a cluster of perennial flowers that is magenta-colored. The smell of the flower is nice, like a tulip and very natural. The feeling is velvet and slippery. The structure of the flower is in small clumps and clusters. They look like they belong in the sea, kind of like seaweed. There is part of the flower that looks like grass but is actually part of the flower. The Dianthus is not curvy, it sticks right up.
The stems are a bluish-green ocean color. Their size is petite; the height ranging is between two-six inches, this is as tall as it gets. The width of the stem is two millimeters.
The name Dianthus is from the Greek God of flowers. The Dianthus is a carnation. Some people call them “Garden Pinks”. The particular name for this kind of flower is “Neon.” They only bloom during the spring. They don’t like a lot of heat. They also like a particular kind of soil, limy soil. They prefer sun and well drained soil. Neon is one of more than 300 varieties of Dianthus.
