Family Resources

Nottingham has physical bags that contain  written resources covering specific social and emotional topics.  Each topic has a bag of books for adults, books for children, articles and other information to help parents support their children.  Topics cover a wide range of issues from anxiety, to social skills, to grief and ADHD.  If you are a Nottingham parent or guardian and  would like to check out a packet, please contact Mr. Jones (mark.jones2@apsva.us).  A list of topics is identified in the document below.

APS Parent Resource Center: The PRC offers support and assistance, individual consultations with families at the PRC or by phone, a lending library, a parent newsletter, parent learning opportunities, and serves as an information and referral source for families and staff members.

For Basic Needs:

** Dial 2-1-1 for Resources (in English and Spanish) for food, shelter, and employment assistance.

• Text “Food” or “Comida” to 877-877 and enter an address for nearby food resources for children

• A searchable database for food, rent assistance, employment assistance can be found at https://findhelp.org/.

• For families that need further assistance with essential needs, the name and e-mail for the Social Worker at each school can be found at:
